This Position:

You will:

• Work in the development team to implement elegant, sophisticated data lifecycle functions and pipes
• Build code in a test-driven style
• Keen technologist with an ability to pick up new tech and frameworks
• Interact with tech lead and architects to get validate and course correct implementation
• Be a team player and show willingness to share the load elsewhere in the team if need be

You are:

• Passionate about development with a focus on data
• Delivery minded able to interpret solution design and turn them into simple, sensible implementations
• Experienced in application delivery. You can take ownership of issues, are quick to find solutions and will find ways to continuously improve the code to prevent reoccurrences.
• A strong communicator being able to showcase issues/optimizations etc
• Passionate with Python and getting development best practices followed
• Imaginative and creative. You happily embrace emerging technologies and design techniques
• Adaptable, able to pick up and work on various technologies that are needed to stand up and orchestrate the data lifecycle events.
• Focused with a track record of delivering successful applications into production, especially the rigor of getting ready for a production rollout

Your team:

Synechron team is working with Group Finance (GF) in establishing an On-prem architecture based on the Finance on the Cloud architecture . GF has identified 4 ‘Forecasting Landscape’ use cases as the priority for tactical remediation aligned to transformation goals. Synechron is currently ramping up the team to deliver the use cases in the build out of the Strategic Forecasting application.

The primary outcomes to achieve:

• Significantly improve user experience
• Efficiency improvements in the e-2e execution / production process
• Improve the speed and frequency of Forecasting
• Minimize reliance on IT across the operating model
• Establish a future state on-prem architecture
  
  
  

Skills / Experience:

You have:

• Over 5 years of experience working in an Agile delivery model
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of data and data pipelines
• Solid understanding of sql and accessing databases
• Extensive experience with Python 3.x and libraries like Pandas, PySpark etc
• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application and familiarity with RESTful Services
• Experience working with Git and CI/CD
• PySpark knowledge
• Good exposure to Docker

Nice to have:

• Experience with GCP
• An understanding of Airflow and Terraform
